Justin Bieber "where are you now"

This music video featuring Justin Bieber is a performance based video with him lip syncing and dancing. The main theme of this video is heartbreak as Justin repeatedly says "where are you now that I need ya" this shows that he is missing the girl that he loved, whether she dumped him or he's just missing her. This video contains a lot of editing as there is drawing, painting and graffiti spray incorporated/edited onto his face/body and around him which included words and small drawings such as love hearts expressing his feelings. In the clip, we see fans coming in and out of a gallery plastered with photos of Bieber as they graffiti the pics. The invitation opened Bieber to potential love, hate, laughs and whatever else might’ve been directed his way. The video portrays his pain with soft lighting and close-shots, but also displays him as an “object,” switching to a time-lapse speed while people use him as a canvas for however they want to paint him as.
Camera:
In the beginning of this video we see a full body shot and the camera gradually gets closer until we see a close up shot off his face and special effects are used to add tattoo like images on his face. We see in this video some of the creation of the video, and to show this there is scenes which are fast forwarded to show the people that contributed to the video.
Cutting:
The cutting rate is a bit confusing on this video as there is so much going on with all the drawings we see you can't tell if the scenes are cutting very fast or the special effects are just making it seem that way, but either way it works well.
