Sky garden tickets

We have tickets booked for one of the location we wish to film in and this ticket is for sky garden and for obvious reasons we have had to blur the bar code and the ticket reference so no one else can take these tickets.

Day1 filming Leake Street

Our first session at the Leake Street tunnel was successful and we managed to film a lot of the scenes that we planned on doing. We also filmed some additional footage as we had the extra time, which we can use as a backup if we come across any issues as well as use some parts of it for the video. However we found that some of the footage was a bit to dark so we decided that we were going to go to leake Street again when there was more daylight.

Class meeting

Today one of our team members was not in class so we could not discuss a lot of the pre production plan. However, we do know that Spencer is the main performer as he knows thesong fluently. We discussed locations of one of the scenes we are planning, where it takes place in a therapist office, we thought it would be in college as their are offices that we could use. We will start to discuss risks with locations and storyboarding the video once he is in class.

Email permission

Mark wrote an email to the artist's (Logic) record label asking for permission to use their song for our work, this is too avoid any legal issues that using their music may create

Leake st

infinite mix

We went on a trip to a place called the infinite mix which is a big warehouse with various different rooms including a variety of different Media ideas. The most interesting room I saw was room no. 10 which required us to use 3D glasses and inside the room was a big projection of a very long music video just containing scenery and there was no lip syncing to it, it was more of an instrumental although it did contain words the video seemed to fit the song itself as it was slow just like the video. The filming of the video was very good and seeing it in 3D made it seem more interesting, however after about 5mins of watching the video it does seem quiet repetitive.

We are doing a conceptual based video as it suits the song which Spencer is going to be lip syncing to. The theme of the song is about real life and how it's not a game.

Evaluation for mock video

For our mock music video we had Irnadas lip sync to 21 pilots stressed out. We filmed several different shots, around about 6 or 7 and experimented with different camera angles and shots close up etc. The video is a minute long and each frame is around 4 to 5 secs and ome are slightly longer around 10 secs. We have although made sure that every time we cut to a different scene that it is in time with the beat and it is fluent. when editing the only thing we added was a fade to the music track and the video at the end for good effect, also when filming the final scene we used the camera to blur the scene when Irnadas was walking out. We got this idea from watching various music videos and seeing different techniques professionals have used and how we could incorporate this into our work.

I do believe that when creating the actual video that this practice has helped me realise how much time it will take and how organised me and my group have to be. Also once again familiarising myself with the software that we will be using for editing has helped and I now know all the basics there is to it as well as some simple yet effective techniques used to make the video look much better. Moreover although we filmed a wide variety of shots we did not use them as they didnt really work out and look as good as we hoped which a good reference for the future when creating the actual video.
