This music video is based on the film suicide squad and they have merged a music video with parts of the film/trailer.
Cutting rate:
Because they have merged a music video with a trailer the cutting rate is considerably fast and alternating scenes between the artists and the actors in the film and the lyrics do link with the film itself it is quiet clever how they have made a music video for the film "Suicide Squad" and obviously our task isn't to make a music video for a film but this music video does give us some ideas and once again the cutting rate is fast, because of the genre the song itself quiet fast.

Camera shots:
Also with the camera shots alternate between close ups and mid shots and the camera zooms in and out to get these different shots. Occasionally there will be a long shot if that is the case in the film the next cut will have a long shot like when they showed a log shot of the joker at the top of a building, in the next cut they showed lil Wayne in a long shot. This I feel is a good idea so when filming our music video we should do appropriate camera shots related to the lyrics a much as possible.

Location:
The general environment of this music video is quiet dark with limited lighting and in similar circumstances as the people in the film are (prison) and this shows what the film is about and how these people are separated from society and being tortured which is mentioned in the lyrics. This video contains, things like fire and cages in it to reflect the position that these people have been put in and restricted to limited spaces. this is used to show the audience a more detailed picture and for our music video it would be a good idea to do such things although fire might be difficult we could use items, such as drugs (fake) which often linked in rap music videos or even just by listening to the song.
Audience:
Just like the film which is a 15, I feel that this age limit applies to the music video as It does contain some bad language and the concept of the video might not be easy to understand for younger people. I do feel like this music video is aimed at people a similar age who watched the film but mainly teenagers and young adults. The song my group plans on creating a music video also contains a fair amount of bad language and will be aimed at older teenagers and again young adults.

Add detail to this third, shorter case study. You list quite a bit so use this and then give examples of these shot types etc. Again more on genre and target audience and link to own ideas.
